About the pulleys for embroidery machines, some necessary data shall be given to determine the pulley.

1. Tooth type: Usually embroidery machines adopts 5M, S5M, 8M, S8M tooth type.

Most of the Tajima embroidery machines adopts S5M tooth type. AT5, T5, T10 also exist.

2. Teeth number of the pulley. This is very important. Please confirm how many teeth the pulley has.

3. Hole diameter. Measure the hole diameter of the pulley by a caliper. Usually there are bearings were insert into the pully, if you have the bearing model, then you can check the outer diameter of the bearing.

The outer diameter of the bearing is the diameter of the pulley hole.

4. Width of the belt. Usually the width of the pulley for belt is a little bigger than the belt applied, for example if the belt is 35mm, the pulley space for belt would be 36mm or 37mm.

After you have these four datas, you can determine the pulley according to the shape like AF, BF, KF, etc.
